SURFYNOL® AS 5120

Surfynol® AS 5120 by Evonik is a wetting agent and defoamer. It offers dynamic wetting without generating excess foam over the most difficult surfaces including silicone release liners. It does not contain added mineral oils, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEs) or acetylenic diols. It is a low odor surfactant and provides excellent surface tension reduction. It can be easily incorporated into water-based systems. Surfynol® AS 5120 is used in pigment dispersions, lithographic inks and paper coatings. Its recommended usage is between 0.1 and 1.0 % of total formulation weight. It is in compliance with US FDA, BfR-Recommendation XIV, Swiss Ordinance SR 817.023.21 and China GB9685-2016 regulations. It is listed on EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, ENCS, TCCL, PICCS and IECSC chemical inventories. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
