Dynasylan® 1161 EQ

Dynasylan® 1161 EQ by Evonik is an N-benzyl-N-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilan-hydrochlorid (approx. 50% solution in methanol) grade. Acts as an adhesion promoter. It is a cationic aminofunctional silane possessing hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl groups. Contains no carcinogenic benzyl chloride and exhibits better polymer wetting. Binds chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers), thus functioning as a surface modifier. Possesses improved mechanical properties (flexural strength, tensile strength, impact toughness and modulus of elasticity) and electrical properties (dielectric constant and specific volume resistance). Available as yellow liquid. Soluble in alcohols, ketones, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons. Dynasylan® 1161 EQ is suitable for paints and varnishes.
