ANCAMINE® 1608

Ancamine® 1608 by Evonik is a light colored modified aliphatic polyamine adduct. It acts as a curing agent for epoxy resins. It offers excellent chemical resistance to trichloroethane, xylene, water detergent solutions, inorganic acids and alkalis and denatured alcohol. It shows good chemical resistance against alcohols and skydrol. It exhibits fast cure speed and good mechanical properties. It is used in solvent-free and high-solids coatings. Ancamine® 1608 is also used as an accelerator for other curing agents. Recommended usage level is 20 phr with bisphenol-A diglycidyl ether (EEW=190). It has a shelf life of 24 months.
