E-Sperse® RS-1684

E-Sperse® RS-1684 by Ethox Chemicals is an anionic, aqueous surfactant and emulsifier. It is a poly(oxyethylene) styrenated phenol allyl glycidyl. It increases moisture sensitivity and reduces coating defects such as pin holing due to surfactant extraction. It improves gloss, freeze thaw stability, latex stability and washability of coating. It lowers surfactant dosage and foaming during polymerization. It is compatible with acrylic, styrene acrylic and vinyl ester modified latexes. E-Sperse® RS-1684 is suitable for hydrophobic coatings such as deck stains, direct-to-metal paints, primers, and other coatings in which high water resistance and excellent adhesion are desired. It complies with TSCA.
