Rheolate® 208

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Elementis
100 % Solids, Polyether Urea Polyurethane. Acts as an associative rheology modifier for use in latex paints and other water-borne systems needing reduced VOC or solvent-free formulations. Designed for use in paints containing small-particle-size latex emulsions and in high-volume-solids systems. Offers great manufacturing flexibility, very good high-shear viscosity, enzyme resistance, and very good brush drag. Reduces formulation interaction, influence on color acceptance and color stability, and spattering during roller application. Enhances film build. Imparts very good flow and leveling, pH independent rheology. Allows broad formulating flexibility. Gives alkyd-like appearance in water-borne gloss paints. Shows good compatibility with other thickeners. Used for gloss, satin-gloss latex paints, latex paints for interior and exterior applications based on pure acrylic or copolymer binders, and water-borne paints and inks.
