Rheolate® 1 by Elementis is rheolate acrylic thickener. It is an economical and versatile rheological additive for emulsion paints systems. Offers high thickening efficiency in the medium-shear range and very good pigment suspension properties. Maintains gloss levels. Provides very good rheology and anti-settling properties. Improves freeze/thaw stability and corrosion resistance. Re-thickens enzyme-spoiled paint. Offers compatibility with clay-based cellulosic and urethane associative thickeners. Resists viscosity loss. Rheolate® 1 is used for applications like inks, gloss latex paints, semi-gloss latex paints, matt latex paints, industrial coatings and water-borne paints containing acrylic emulsion, styrene acrylic emulsion, vinyl acrylic emulsion, alkyd emulsion, vinyl chloride emulsion, water-reducible alkyd, polyester and epoxy.
