Basic salt of a polymeric carboxylic acid. Acts as a pigment dispersing agent designed for use in filler/pigment concentrates. Ensures extremely stable pigment dispersions for use in aqueous systems. Offers maximium stabilising properties against flocculation, and insensitivity to hydrolysis and depolymerisation. Reduces the viscosity of the pigment paste and thus disperses even highly concentrated pastes. Shows stability of the pastes with low viscosity over time. Possesses high pigment concentration, thus reduces the quantity of loading water required. Exhibits optimised rheological profile after storage and no gel effect. Also exhibits optimised pigment dispersion, maximum fineness and protection against flocculation of the particles.
