Methyl Isobutyl Ketone. Acts as a medium-evaporating, active solvent for many synthetic resins including cellulosics, vinyl copolymers, acrylics, alkyds, polyesters, and epoxies. Possesses high solvent activity and low density. Used in automotive coatings, special purpose coatings and gravure printing inks.
