EPOLENE® C-13

EPOLENE® C-13 by Westlake is relatively high viscosity, low-density polyethylene wax. Used in combination with other polyethylene waxes for coatings and coatings for paper/paperboard. Can be used to modify paraffin wax to increase blend viscosity for controlling penetration of the coating into paper substrates. Offers improved grease resistance, higher blocking temperatures, better scuff resistance, and improved gloss in combination with paraffin wax. EPOLENE® C-13 gives good high-temperature stability, low color, low-temperature flexibility, and very good compatibility with various tackifying resins.
