METHOCEL™ A15C by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is a water-soluble thickener, protective colloid and pigment suspension. It is based on high purity and non-ionic methylcellulose (MC). It shows good rheology and binding properties. It offers good film properties such as high tensile, strength and elongation. It improves adhesion, spreadability, rheology control and elastic to brittle viscosity building properties. It permits gelation, reversible gelation with heating and a wide range of pH stability. It is used in inks as well as enhances workability and water retention for construction coatings. METHOCEL™ A15C tolerates low salt levels.
