WALOCEL™ XM 3000 PV

Thickener based on cellulose ether. Suitable for use in high-quality, wash- and scrub-resistant indoor emulsion paints and for silicate emulsion paints. Characterized by : low spattering when applied by brush or roller, high water retention capacity, allows lap-free application by brush or roller, no pigment flocculation, optimum use of color pigments, uniform and high-covering films, good storage stability, allows sparing use of preservatives, good thickener effect, allows particularly economical metering. Suitable for use in masonry paints and full-color paints. Can be supplemented by combination with suitable synthetic thickeners. Have been chemically treated to delay their solubility. Makes it easy to incorporate into the coating formulation. There is some delay or the pH has to be increased before it dissolves and ensures the required increase in viscosity of the coating. This effectively prevents the formation of gel particles and, as a result, the clumping of the pigments. Recommended usage level: 0.2% to 0.6%.
