DALPAD™ C

DALPAD™ C by Dow is a low odor, efficient coalescing agent. This tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether is the slowest-evaporating member of the family of DOWANOL™ glycol ethers. It is used in water-borne paints and solvent-based paints as clear, colorless, odorless, light yellowish, mobile solvent with low viscosity and high boiling point. It provides excellent scrub resistance. Due to its length and hydrophobic structure, it possesses high organic solubility, solvating characteristics and low water solubility. It is suitable for a number of water-borne resins where a powerful coalescent is needed for proper film formation. It will completely partition into the resin phase, thus providing superior coalescence. It is suitable for indoor decorative plants. It is a NOT-VOC grade according to decopaint directive 2004/42/CE. This additive is listed as SVOC in Annex B of ISO 11890-2. DALPAD™ C is also used in exterior wall facade paint and wood coatings.
