DOWSIL™ 51 Additive

DOWSIL™ 51 Additive by Dow is an ultra-high-molecular-weight polydimethylsiloxane dispersion. Acts as an antiblocking agent, slip and mar resistance agent. Provides water resistance in waterborne systems and reduces coefficient of friction. It imparts leveling, wetting and gloss. Compatible with acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, nitrocellulose, polyesters, polyurethane and vinyl systems. It is effective at low concentrations. DOWSIL™ 51 Additive is suitable for water-based and solvent-based flexographic, gravure ink, water-based lithographic ink and overprint varnish. It is also used in water-based overprint varnish and industrial coating applications.
