DOWANOL™ PnB

DOWANOL™ PnB by Dow Chemical is a propylene glycol n-butyl ether. Acts as an effective coupling agent and efficient solvent for water-reducible coatings, effective coalescent for lowering the minimum film forming temperature in water-borne latex coatings, and active solvent for solvent-based coatings. Offers very good solvency and oil solubility. Provides effective surfactant properties. Possesses very good coupling ability and evaporation rate control. Exhibits greater formulating flexibility and low viscosity. DOWANOL™ PnB is used in latex coatings.
