Deuteron® OG 8650

Polymethyl urea resin. Shows very good hardness and abrasion resistance. Improves the slip as well as static friction and provides increased mechanical resistance. Compared with additives based on waxes, it does not spoil the recoatability. Can reduce the gloss when used as a surface additive. Used in solvent-based lacquers. It is especially recommended for use in systems which require a thin film thickness. The use of DEUTERON OG 8650 can substantially improve coatings, from silky sheen to matt, which contain silicic acid as flatting agent and whose surface resistance is inadequate. Due to the good weather resistance and color fastness of the used polymer the product can also be used in coating-systems for exterior applications. This additive is the alternative to wax-dispersions with their wellknown typical side-effects. Dosage: Initially an addition of 0,5 % - 2 % is appropriate.
