DELTA DC® 4001

Alkyl hydroxyl ammonium salt of unsaturated fatty acids. Is a controlled flocculating agent. Helps to prevent interfacial tension between hydrophilic pigments/extenders and binders. Creates thixotropy and therefore prevents flooding and floating, settling of the pigments and reduces sagging. Can be used to gel organophilic bentonites and to produce pastes with improved flow, processability and storage stability. Used in anti-corrosive paints, marine paints based on alkyds, alkyd based coatings and primers.
