HI-REZ KR-100

HI-REZ KR-100 by Cytech Coatings (Cytech Group) is a transparent, alcohol soluble, aldehydeketone resin. It improves pigment wetting and gloss. It exhibits improved inner-coat adhesion and broad range of compatibility including shellac. It offers very good solubility in spirit and good light fastness to inks, making it ideal for base primers or coatings. It has low viscosity, which makes it suitable for formulation of high-solid coatings and the reduction of high viscosity polymers. In combination with nitrocellulose resin, addition of phthalate plasticizers and a certain proportion of polyurethane resin, HI-REZ KR-100 is used in paper-, ball-point pen-, flexographic- & gravure printing inks. It is also suitable for polishing varnishes, lacquers for surface treatment of wood & paper lacquers along with vinyl & sealer coatings. The recommended usage level is 3%-15% of total formulation.
