Rheoptima™ X38

Rheoptima™ X38 is a rheology modifier by Croda. It is made by the reaction of functional amines and diacids terminated with various end groups. It is a vegetable derived polymer for inks and is used to create clear, thermo-reversible gels of organics with low polarity. Suitable for polymeric acrylic/ vinylic/ UV and non-polar solvent system. It can be used as a steric stabiliser for dispersions of particulates and allows lower viscosity as well as high solid loading. It gels liquid by forming a 3D structure via hydrogen bonding between the amide groups and is compatible with low polarity liquids. Rheoptima™ X38 complies with REACH regulation.
