Bayhydrol® XP 2451/1

Bayhydur® XP 2451/1 by Covestro is a hydrophilic aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate. Acts as a crosslinking agent for aqueous polyol binders. Also as hardener component in the formulation of water-reducible two-component coatings, top coats and sealers also as an additive to enhance the property profile of waterborne coating systems. It is supplied in solvent-free form. It is compatible with organic solvents such as esters, ether esters, xylene and solvent naphtha® 100. Because of its hydrophilic character, Bayhydur® XP 2451/1 can be easily emulsified in the aqueous phase. Recommended storage temperature is 0-30°C. It has a shelf life of six months.
