Betafib® MCF

Betafib® MCF by Cosum Biobased Products is a 100% bio-based rheology modifier based on cellulose microfiber. Designed for water-based applications which require formulation stability & flow behavior. It improves anti-sag a/o to prevent cracking in paints and coatings. It also prevent sagging/settling in the cartridge for inks a/o toners. It delivers high viscosity at low dosage levels and high yield stress, due to refined extraction & processing methods. It offers suspension of active materials, foam stability, rinsability, emulsion stability, stabilization of slurries (homogeneous) and mattifying effect. Betafib® MCF upholds its performance over a wide pH range (1.5 to at least 13), at temperatures up to 180°C and in presence of electrolytes up to heavy brines (>40%). It shows shear-thinning character with particle carrying properties. Typical levels of usage range from 0.15 to 1.0%.
