Emulsogen® APS 100

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Clariant
Emulsogen® APS 100 by Clariant is a non-ionic, APEO-free ammonium salt of allyl polyalkylene glycol ether sulfate. It is obtained from sulfonation of fatty alcohols and alcohol ethoxylates. Acts as an emulsifier and hydrophilic co-monomer. Offers better ability of co-polymerization to reduce migration, improved freeze-thaw-, electrolyte- & shear stability and reduced water sensitivity & water up-take in comparison to conventional emulsifiers. It is soluble in water in any ratio to produce a clear solution. Used in emulsion polymerization of polyvinyl acetate, acrylate and styrene/acrylate dispersions. Ideal concentration for monomer emulsion is 1-3% and for initial bath is 1-2% based on monomers. Emulsogen® APS 100 by Clariant complies with FDA regulations and is listed in DSL, EINECS, IECSC, KECI and TSCA.
