Dispersogen® PCE

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Clariant
Dispersogen® PCE by Clariant is an APEO-free, low VOC (less than 1%) modified polycarboxylate. It acts as a polymeric dispersing agent. It contains carboxylic acid groups on the principle polymer chain and polyethylene glycol ether side chains. The anionic charges on the principle chain of Dispersogen® PCE absorb onto inorganic pigments and provide superior steric stabilization than polyacrylic acid salts or copolymers of acrylic acid and maleic acid resulting in higher dispersion stability. It is a yellowish turbid liquid and is soluble in water. Suitable for inorganic pigments (0.5–1.5% dosage) like titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, talcum, China clay, iron oxide pigments, gypsum, cement. Dispersogen® PCE is used in label-free waterborne pigment pastes (5–25% dosage), in-plants tinters, paints 2008/4452/EC), the German Blue Angel (RAL UZ 102:2010), the Scandinavian Nordic Swan (2.3 2008) and the French NF Environment (NF130:2012).
