Dispersogen® ECS

Dispersogen® ECS by Clariant is an anionic, APEO-free, low VOC (less than 1%) alkyl polyglycol ether carboxylate. Acts as a wetting- and dispersing agent, compatibilizer. Exhibits optimum tinting strength (maximum pigment yield and color saturation), excellent viscosity profile and dispersing power. It is highly effective, readily biodegradable (biodegradation 76% in 28 days according to OECD 301 D) and low foaming. It is easy to handle and is soluble in water. Allows high pigment concentrations as well as good compatibility with waterborne and solvent-borne coatings. Suitable for organic (recommended dosage - 10–20%) and inorganic pigments (recommended dosage - 5–15%) and carbon blacks (recommended dosage - 10–20%) to produce stable, free flowing pigment preparations with high solid contents and universal colorants. Designed for hazard label-free formulations (acc. EU/CLP directive). Dispersogen® ECS is used in architectural low emulsion wall paints, point-of-sales colorants and in-plant tinters. It is listed in REACH, DSL, AICS, ENCS, IECSC, NECI, KECI, PICCS, NZloC and TSCA. Complies with ecolabels: European Ecoflower (2008/4453/EC; 2008/4452/EC), the German Blue Angel (RAL UZ 102:2010), the Scandinavian Nordic Swan (2.3 2008) and the French NF Environment (NF130:2012).
