Chiguard® 8431

Chiguard® 8431 by Chitec Technology is a synergistic blend of 3-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimetylethyl)-4-hydroxybenzenepropanic acid and 1-methoxy-2-propyl acetate. Acts as a ultraviolet (UV) light stabilizer. Provides good thermal stability, good color maintenance and long-term thermal and UV light stabilization (upto 400nm). Prevents gloss reduction, cracking, blistering and color change when used in combination with a HALS stabilizer such as Chiguard 353 or Chiguard 100. Is highly miscible in most of monomers and oligomers. Suitable for UV radiation curing systems based on acrylics and UPES. Recommended for automotive coatings and general industrial coatings. The use levels of Chiguard® 8431 range between 0.5% and 4% are recommended.
