Chiguard® 622 LD by Chitec Technology is a 4-Hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidine-ethanol polymer with dimethyl succinate. Acts as a low-dust, polymeric hindered amine light stabilizer. Provides outstanding light stability and long-term heat stability by radical trapping mechanism similar to that of hinder phenol. Produces virtually no effect on initial substrate color and its effectiveness is independent of the polymer’s thickness. Designed specifically for polymers such as PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, ABS and PVC. Used in articles with high specific surface such as coatings. It is FDA-cleared for use in food packaging applications with a maximum concentration of 0.3%. A percentage of 0.2% - 0.5% of Chiguard® 622 LD is recommended.
