CELCHEM 31745-09 by Celeritas Chemicals is tetraallkyl ammonium bentonite. It is an organoclay which acts as a rheology and viscosity modifier. Exhibits ease of incorporation, high gelling efficiency in aliphatic and aromatic solvents. Does not need polar activator or making of pre-gel. Provides excellent sag resistance and control of viscosity. Offers consistency in rheology and thixotropic development. Gel produced shows light color and high transparency. Used in nitro lacquers, mineral oil- and nitro-inks. Applications in coatings include acrylic-, alkyd-, anti-corrosion-, chlorinated rubber-, primer-, polyester-, road-, silica- and wooden-paints.
