CELCHEM 31744-09 by Celeritas Chemicals is tetraallkyl ammonium bentonite. It is a self-activated, easy-to-disperse organoclay which acts as a rheology and viscosity modifier. Exhibits high gelling efficiency over low to medium polarity organic liquids, good anti-sagging and anti-sediment property. Provides light color with high transparency. Used for solvent-based systems of low to medium polarity. Applications include nitro lacquer, alkyd-, acrylic- and solvent epoxy-paints. Also used in nitro- and mineral oil-inks. Complies with U.S. TSCA, EINECS (Europe, Japan and China), Australian inventory, Canadian DSL and Japanese Cosmetic Inventory. CELCHEM 31744-09 is recommended addition levels are typically between 0.2%- 2.0% based on the total formulation weight.
