CAB-O-SIL® CLARUS™ 3160 Fumed Silica

Hydrophilic synthetic amorphous, pyrogenic fumed silica. Acts as a rheological control-, flow- and reinforcing agent. It has a high-surface area, small aggregate size and primary particle size. Exhibits high degree of cleanliness and consistency. Possesses low contaminants and grit levels which lead to improved optical properties. Offers highest cured Y transmission and lowest yellowing. Improves performance by providing high level of reinforcement, transparency and minimal discoloration due to aging. Suitable for formulations that require elevated mechanical properties coupled with a high level of transparency. Used in high-end transparent liquid silicone rubber (LSR) applications.
