BYK® -3770

BYK®-3770 by BYK is a solution of polyester-modified, hydroxy-functional polydimethylsiloxane. It is a surface additive for solventborne coating systems and UP gel coats. It provides reduced surface tension, which improves substrate wetting. It offers improved surface slip, solvent- and weather resistance & anti-blocking properties. It can reduce susceptibility to dirt. It can improve leveling and prevents the formation of benard cells. It is suitable for two-pack polyurethane systems. It may also react with the binders like alkyd/melamine, polyester/melamine, acrylate/ melamine, self-crosslinking acrylates and epoxides. It is SVHC label-free grade. BYK®-3770 is preferably used in wood & furniture coatings, leather coatings and can coating. The dosage level of the grade is 0.1-1% based on total formulation.
