BYK® -349

BYK® -349 by BYK is a polyether-modified siloxane. Acts as a surface additive to improve substrate wetting in aqueous systems. Provides a strong reduction of surface tension. Exhibits very good substrate wetting and flow/leveling. Offers extremely low foam stabilization. Does not increases surface slip and impairs recoatability. Possesses highly effective spreading, wetting and leveling properties. Especially suited for coating colors applied by curtain coating as it strongly improves tension rheology. Used in aqueous coatings and printing inks. Suitable for water-borne systems based on styrene acrylic, pure acrylic and acrylic/PU combinations, cross-linkable polyurethanes and baking systems. BYK® -349 has a shelf life of 36 months. Complies with REACH and food contact regulation.
