BYK® -3400

BYK® -3400 by BYK is a combination of interface-active substances. Exhibits good silicone-containing substrate wetting and no increase in the surface slip. Reduces the surface tension in aqueous coatings and thus especially improves substrate wetting and leveling. It only marginally, if at all, stabilizes foam and the re-coatability is not impaired. The additive is particularly recommended for self-shine emulsions (matt and gloss) and for inkjet inks. Recommended dosage for BYK® -3400 is 0.5-2% additive based upon total formulation. Complies with FDA and/or EU food contact regulations.
