OPTIGEL® -W 724

OPTIGEL® -W 724 by Byk (Altana Group) is a activated phyllosilicate. Acts as a rheology additive for aqueous systems to generate thixotropic flow behavior. It improves processability and storage stability as it is highly effective at preventing solids settling. In addition, it reduces the sagging tendency after application which makes it possible to achieve greater layer thicknesses. Is inorganic and stable to diluted acids and bases. OPTIGEL® -W 724 is used in architectural coatings. Recommended dosage is 0.3-2.0% of additive based upon total formulation.
