DISPERBYK® -2010

DISPERBYK® -2010 by Byk (Altana Group) is a structured acrylate copolymer with pigment affinic groups. Acts as a high molecular weight wetting and dispersing agent for aqueous systems. Possesses a relatively hydrophobic backbone to minimize the impact on water resistance of the dried coating film. Designed for the production of resin-free, stable pigment concentrates for aqueous coating systems. It does not contain organic solvents. It deflocculates and stabilizes pigments through steric hindrance and electrostatic repulsion. Improves color strength development, transparency, hiding power and gloss. Strongly reduces the millbase viscosity. Exhibits a positive effect on flow properties. DISPERBYK® -2010 is used in industrial, automotive, wood, architectural and protective coatings.
