BYK® -4500

BYK® -4500 by BYK is a VOC-free, solution of a high molecular weight block copolymer. Used as an adhesion promoter for aqueous emulsion paints and alkyd emulsions applied on aged coatings. Especially improves the wet-adhesion of aqueous systems on critical substrates, such as e.g. old alkyd resin coatings. Also applies to substrates that cannot be sanded previously because accessibility is difficult. BYK® -4500 has no influence on drying behavior and storage stability of the aqueous system. The properties like e. g. hardness, flexibility, gloss or tendency to yellowing of the dry film are not influenced when using it.
