BYK® -3771

BYK®-3771 by BYK is a solvent-free, polyether-modified, hydroxy-functional polydimethylsiloxane. It is a surface additive for solvent-free, radiation-curable and solvent-borne coatings. It exhibits a strong reduction in the surface tension. It offers improved surface slip, substrate wetting and tape release even at low dosages. It is used in polyester/melamine baking systems as well as a variety of aqueous systems. It shows good compatibility and enables highly transparent coatings to be formulated without turbidity. It shows good compatibility with standard resins and enables to produce highly transparent overprint varnishes. It can be used in wood- & furniture-, can-, coil- and leather coatings. It is designed for use in printing inks on high-speed printing machines. The dosage level of BYK®-3771 is 0.05-1% for coatings and 0.05-2% for printing inks based on total formulation. It is SVHC label-free grade.
