BYK® -321

BYK® -321 by BYK acts as a silicone based leveling agent. It is a solution of a polyether modified polymethylalkylsiloxane. Provides a slight reduction of surface tension. Offers good defoaming action. Exhibits no problems with ghosting or telegraphing, in automotive or industrial coatings. Defoaming activity rises with increasing coating polarity. Improves flow and leveling. BYK® -321 prevents formation of Bénard cells. Used in solvent- and water-borne automotive and industrial coatings. Its recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.6%.
