BYK® -1719

BYK® -1719 by BYK is a blend of foam-destroying polysiloxanes and hydrophobic solids. Acts as silicone defoamer. It is very effective even at a low dosage, with only a low cratering tendency and a high efficiency. The additive is VOC-free, contains no glycols and has a good shelf life. BYK® -1719 is recommended for aqueous printing inks, overprint varnishes, pigment concentrates with spontaneous defoaming effect and high efficiency. Recommended dosage is 0.1% to 0.5% of additive based upon total formulation. Complies with FDA and/or EU food contact regulations.
