BYK® -081

BYK® -081 by BYK is a non-aqueous emulsion of a polysiloxane. Is a fluorine-free defoamer for solvent-borne, water reducible and amine-neutralized systems. It is a highly effective and spontaneous defoamer. It is particularly suitable for high solid alkyd systems. The additive shows good compatibility with clear coatings. It is not suitable for aqueous systems that contain little or no organic solvent as a co-solvent. BYK® -081 is recommended for can-, industrial-, wood and furniture-, architectural-, and protective coatings. Recommended dosage is 0.05-1.0% of additive based upon total formulation.
