BYK® -014

BYK® -014 by BYK is a mixture of foam-destroying polymers and hydrophobic solids. It is a VOC-free (< 1500 ppm), mineral oil free and silicone-free polymer-based defoamer. Shows optimum performance at the lowest dosage. Exhibits optimum performance at the lowest dosage, is stable to acids and alkalis, and can be used in the pH range 3-12. Especially recommended as a defoamer in the production and application of emulsion paints and plasters within a PVC range of 30-85. Contains no alkylphenol ethoxylates. BYK® -014 is used in architectural- , coil- and leather coatings. Recommended dosage is 0.1-0.5% of additive based upon total formulation. Complies with FDA and/or EU food contact regulations.
