Borchi® Gol 1376

Borchi® Gol 1376 by Borchers is a phenylmethyl polysiloxane. Acts as a flow and levelling agent. Contains 100% active. It improves the film appearance of coatings caused by surface defects such as craters and/ or spray structures. It does not generally result in a loss of adhesion between base and top coats. It is temperature stable up to approx. 300°C. Soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, higher molecular alcohols, esters, ketones, glycol ethers, glycol ether acetates and dibasic esters. Particularly effective in saturated polyester resins, epoxy resins and combinations of these binders with phenolic resins, amino resins and blocked isocyanate resins. Suitable for solvent borne and solvent-free coatings systems. Can be used in primers and undercoats. Borchi® Gol 1376 is recommended for can or coil coatings stoving enamel. The dosage rate is 0.02 to 0.30 % on total formulation depending upon the binder system. Compliant with food contact approval as per FDA CFR 21 §175.105 and §175.300.
