Borchi® Gen PB 60

Borchi® Gen PB 60 by Borchers acts a specially designed wetting and dispersing agent for inorganic thixotropic additives. It offers short dispersion and activation times as well as excellent binder compatibility with no effect on the final drying properties of the coating. It is easily transferable and can be completely mixed into the coating using just a high speed mixer. It has excellent pigment wetting properties and can provide good anti-settling effects in pigmented systems. It is used in binders that cure by evaporation of solvents, by oxidation or in baking enamels. Borchi® Gen PB 60 is suitable for binder systems like styrenated alkyd, epoxy ester, nitrocellulose, alkyd / urea / melamine silicone resins, chlorinated and cyclized rubbers, vinyl resins, PVC organosols / plastisols and unsaturated polyesters. Used to manufacture stock pastes of powdered inorganic gelling agents in organic solvents such as white spirit, xylene and butyl glycol. Recommended for solvent borne coating systems. When used with fumed silica, it develops thixotropic, high-viscosity gels which are used in structured and hammer-finish paints.
