Borchers® AF 0871

Borchers® AF 0871 by Borchers is a modified organo polysiloxane emulsion. Acts as a silicone-based defoamer/anti-foaming agent. Improves surface characteristics such as leveling, scratch resistance and substrate wetting. It can easily be diluted with water and can be used in water based emulsions, water thinnable systems and chemically curing systems based on polyurethanes (with acrylic modification) and acrylics. Recommended for use in gloss and semi-gloss coatings, wood and furniture coatings, printing inks and varnishes and general industrial coatings. Borchers® AF 0871 recommended dosage rate in wood and furniture coatings is 0.1 to 1.0 %, in printing inks and overprint varnishes is 0.3 to 1.5 % and in general industrial coating is 0.1 to 1.0 %.
