n-Butanol®

n-Butanol® by BASF is a clear, colorless, mobile, neutral solvent of medium volatility. Prevents blushing of coatings when they dry under humid conditions. Widely used as a diluent in cellulose nitrate lacquers. Improves flow, gloss and resistance to blushing. Reduces the viscosity and thus improves brushability and flow, when added to alkyd resin paints. n-Butanol® is used as solvents for dyes in printing inks and coatings.
