Hydropalat® 816

Hydropalat® 816 by BASF is a blend of highly effective wetting agents designed for use in water-based coatings, inks, and overprint varnishes. It acts as a coalescing agent for use in water based OPV's for litho applications. Hydropalat® 816 produces a good thickening effect at higher concentrations. It exhibits very good wetting and surface tension reducing properties. The recommended dosage level for industrial varnishes is between 0.1-1.2 % and for inks and OPV's is 3-5%. It has a shelf life of 1 year.
