Efka® FL 3740

Efka® FL 3740 by BASF is a copolyacrylate. Acts as a leveling agent. Exhibits air release properties and eliminates or reduces cratering, fish eyes & orange peel. Improves the flow, dispersion and floating behavior. Prevents air entrapment and optimizes wetting of the substrate. Modifies the surface tension of the coatings, due to its chemical structure. Used in non-aqueous, liquid coating systems, in powder coatings and binder for powder coatings. Also used in alkyd-, epoxy-, acrylic/melamine-, 2-component acrylic-, PVC-, polyurethane- and chlorinated rubber- coatings & nitrocellulose lacquers. The recommended dosage of Efka® FL 3740 by BASF is between 0.2 and 1.0% depending upon the formulation.
