Efka® 5055

Efka® 5055 by BASF is a high molecular weight carboxylic salts of polyamine amides. It is used as wetting and dispersing additive. It helps to prevent interfacial tension between the hydrophilic pigments/extenders and the binder, forming a lattice structure with the pigments. It provides stabilization of the pigment dispersion. It reduces dispersion time and tendency to sag during application on vertical surfaces. Efka® 5055 decreases pigment sedimentation and flooding.
