Rheovis® PU 1214

Rheovis® PU 1214 by BASF is a non-ionic, associative rheological additive for aqueous systems. It is a low viscosity polyurethane polymer specially designed to improve the application of emulsion paints.

Provides superior hiding power during brush applications.
It offers low shear thinning and minimal roller spatter.
It exhibits good flow promoting properties and good scrub- & scuff resistance.
It is used in interior and exterior paints.
It can be combined with other thickeners such as low molecular weight cellulose derivatives or acrylic thickeners to improve application and storage properties.
The recommended dosage level of Rheovis® PU 1214 is 0.3-1.0%, calculated on total formulation.
