Omnirad 1173 (Former Irgacure 1173) by IGM Resins is a versatile highly efficient, slight odor, low yellowing, Type I photoinitiator used to initiate radical polymerization of unsaturated oligomers e.g. acrylates, after exposure to UV light.

It can be used in combination with mono or multi functional monomers as reactive diluents.
It is applicable for clear, white, pigmented and water-based systems.
It is suitable for surface, through and LED cure.
It is designed for UV radiation curing system.
It is used in wood, plastic and metal coatings.
The recommended addition level for film thickness 5-20 um is 2-4% and film thickness 20-200 um is 1-3%.
Omnirad 1173 has a shelf life of 36 months.
