Natrosol™ 250 MR by Ashland Speciality Chemical is a non-ionic, water-soluble hydroxyethylcellulose surface-treated with glyoxal. Used as a high efficiency nonionic thickener, water retention aid and rheology modifier in all types of water-based paints and surface coatings. It can be used as a protective colloid, stabilizer and suspending agent. Offers very good pseudoplastic flow behavior and wide compatibility with other materials such as emulsion polymers, natural and synthetic gums, emulsifiers, defoamers, pigments, surfactants and preservatives. Natrosol™ 250 MR offers mechanical & chemical stability and controls rheology before, during and after application. Provides very good color acceptance, color development and viscosity retention on tinting, fast dispersion and easier dissolving in water.
