Natrosol™ 250 HXR by Ashland is a nonionic, water-soluble hydroxyethylcellulose surface-treated with glyoxal. Used as a high-efficiency nonionic thickener, water retention aid and rheology modifier in all types of water-based paints and surface coatings. Can be used as a protective colloid, stabilizer and suspending agent.

Offers very good pseudoplastic flow behavior and wide compatibility with other materials such as emulsion polymers, natural and synthetic gums, emulsifiers, pigments, surfactants, etc.
Gives mechanical and chemical stability.
Controls rheology before, during, and after application.
Provides very good color acceptance, color development, and viscosity retention on tinting.
Natrosol™ 250 HXR gives fast dispersion and easy dissolving in water.
